ECWG Introductory Webinar

We are pleased to introduce to you our new Education and Communications Working Group!

This webinar was run by the Education and Communication Working Group (ECWG) on behalf of the IUCN National Committee for the UK and was recorded on the 24th October 2022.

The ECWG took this opportunity to introduce the purpose of the working group, the working group members, the new website (iucn-nc.uk), social media channels, the benefits of membership of the IUCN Commission on Education and Communication (CEC) and to talk about how the working group hopes to facilitate further cooperation and communication with all CEC members.

The ECWG are also interested in hearing your ideas about what you think is needed to make a difference in environmental education and communication, both at the UK national and devolved levels, and internationally. So please do get in touch using the contact links provided in the video or via social media (listed below).

Our next webinar is focussed on Nature Education for Sustainability, and will run on Monday the 21st November 2022. We are thrilled to announce we will be hosting Mary Colwell, from Curlew Media who has been recognised as one of the most influential conservationists in the UK, to talk to us about her role in campaigning for the new GCSE in Natural History. We will also be hosting Erin Threlfall, an education leader, consultant and freelance writer, who works internationally to encourage schools to incorporate the SDGs into their curricula. We are very excited to hear from both our speakers and our live audience!
