‘One Nature, One Future – perspectives towards an Ecological Civilisation’, 26th March, Cambridge, registration now open


Do you know what is meant by an ‘Ecological Civilisation’? Have you knowledge on how we might get to become one? Join some great speakers and friendly colleagues at this year’s meeting of the IUCN National Committee UK, hosted at the IUCN offices in the David Attenborough Building in Cambridge on the 26th March, where we will explore these ideas and prepare for important meetings in this environment ‘super-year’. We are pleased to welcome Luc Bas, Director, IUCN European Regional Office to open the morning session  which will help us prepare for UK participation in the IUCN World Conservation Congress in Marseille, 11-19 June 2020

Speakers providing their perspectives on Ecological Civilisation in the afternoon session so far confirmed include:

Kirsty Schneeberger MBE, Chief Executive, Synchronicity Earth – bringing conservation to life

Prof. Ed Maltby, Chair of the Sibthorp Trust and co-author of  ‘The Ecosystem Approach – guidance for 2020 and beyond’

Simon Lamb, a writer on evolution, economics and the environment and author of ‘Junglenomics’ – a new plan and a new mindset for protecting our planet

The Annual General Meeting for the IUCN National Committee UK will take place from 4pm on the 26th March following the two sessions above.
